PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding method and a decoding circuit realizing reduction in size by reducing a circuit scale and reducing power consumption.;SOLUTION: The decoding circuit 10 comprises a first condition branch circuit 20, a second condition branch circuit 21, and a third condition branch circuit 22. Based on the LSB bit information of an input digital signal IN for setting one by the value of a binary digit from the LSB side, the first condition branch circuit 20 creates boundary bit information becoming the boundary of continuous arrangement in the bit arrangement of an output digital signal. Based on the bit information on the digit next to the minimum digit, the second condition branch circuit 21 creates intermediate output digital signal by combining the bit information of continuous arrangement with low order or high order of the boundary bit information.
