The arrangement has a driver stage whose output is connected with multiple LEDs (C1, C2) and a primary energy supply source (A), where the driver stage is activated by a control signal. Power supply voltage (c) of each LED is varied based on a control variable (f). Information related to power dissipation of the driver stage is determined and transmitted as a control signal (e) to a control network (F) for deriving the control variable. The power supply voltage of the LED is adjusted by varying the control variable as a function of the transmitted control signal.
