NICKEL-COBALT BIMETALLIC CATALYST SUPPORTED ON MESOPOROUS ALUMINA-LANTHANA MIXED OXIDE XEROGEL CARRIER, PREPARING METHOD THEREOF, AND PREPARING METHOD OF HYDROGEN GAS BY STEAM REFORMING REACTION OF ETHANOL USING CATALYST
The present invention relates to a mesoporous nickel-cobalt/alumina-lanthanan xerogel catalyst, a preparing method thereof, and a preparing method of hydrogen gas by a steam reforming reaction of ethanol using the catalyst. According to the present invention, the catalyst is used for preparing hydrogen gas by a steam reforming reaction of ethanol, and is prepared by a method of wet-impregnating nickel and cobalt in a mesoporous alumina-lanthanan xerogel carrier obtained by a drying and thermal treatment process after inducing a gelation reaction of an aluminum and lanthanum precursor using an epoxide-based compound on an aqueous solution. A pore is in the range of 2 to 50 nm, an atomic ratio of lanthanum/aluminum of the catalyst is in the range of 0.01 to 1, a nickel-supported amount is in the range of 0.1 to 50 wt % with respect to the weight of a carrier, and referring to cobalt content, a cobalt/nickel ratio is 0.1 to 2 with respect to the weight of nickel on an alumina-lanthanan carrier. According to the present invention, the catalyst having a higher ethanol adsorption amount than a conventional nickel-based catalyst can be prepared. The catalyst is applied to a steam reforming reaction of ethanol to efficiently prepare high-purity hydrogen gas for a long time.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
